affigene DNA Extraction Kit

The affigene^® DNA extraction is a silica column based sample extraction procedure for viral DNA. The kit is intended for extraction of viral DNA from e.g whole blood, serum,plasma, CSF and different media for swabs (e.g. saline, Virocult^®). Samples in the range of 50 ul to 1 ml can be extracted.

Either centrifugation or a vacuum manifold can be used during the extraction procedure.

The complete procedure from sample preparation to analysis of results is CE labelled when using the affigene DNA extraction kit in combination with the following assays:

• affigene^® CMV trender
• affigene^® EBV trender
• affigene^® BKV trender
• affigene^® HSV 1/2 tracer
• affigene^® VZV tracer
• affigene^® Cp/Mp tracer

In addition this extraction kit is recommended for use in combination with the following SmartCycler assays (required for CE compatibility):
