Biothreat Tests

A post 9-11 attack that sent deadly anthrax spores through the mail has resulted in an unexpected need for our genetic testing systems. In order to reduce the dangers posed by biological terrorism, it is necessary to rapidly and accurately detect biothreat organisms before they can be spread. The most accurate means of detecting these organisms is through identifying their unique DNA. Cepheid had already developed industry-leading DNA detection systems, and it quickly became apparent that our technology was ideally suited to meet this urgent new need.
